4 July Road Trip
With a new top on Sal (our 68 mustang) and long weekend ahead of us, we decided to take a roadtrip around the North Cascade mountain range. No particular destination in mind, just on an adventure looking for cheesy roadside attractions.
| first stop on the roadside attractions tour: stonehenge. It is a WW1 memorial to 14 solider from Klickitas county | second stop: Lyle (guess who recommended this stop) |
| Lyle Hotel in Lyle, Washington - Dad is still trying to convince us the town is named after him | Mt. St. Helens from the South |
| The "meatball" in the Ape Caves | on the road to Mt. St. Helens |
| the North side of Mt. St. Helens | backyard of our cabin at Eco-Park Resort where we saw 20 elk crossing the road. We want to bring the Aussies here next year |
| our new friends in Toutle - Mike, Martha, "Martie" & Pat. Pat was camping on Mt. St. Helens when it blew in 1980 | Where Dion was introduced to a "real" American 4th of July. Beer & fireworks galore! |
