After everyone was finished eating our place transformed in the Lucky Poodle Casino.

Henry had all the orphans for thanksgiving down at his apartment. So he and all his guest came up to join the party and gamble. We had two blackjack tables, a poker table and a roulette wheel. Everyone took their bag of chips on entry to the Pink Poodle.

Mardi had bought all the necessary gear an automatic card shuffler, 4 decks of cards for each blackjack table, blackjack shoes, discard card holders and bonefide felt for the tables.

Near the end of the night we auctioned off prizes where everyone bid with their winings.

Thanksgiving was a real blast. Mardi and I hosted our family friends this year.

I had never cooked turkey before and thursday would be my second thanksgiving ever. My good mate Henry gave me a recipie and we worked together to prepare a bloody great turkey. The bucket is to soak the turkey overnight in brine which is chicken stock, candied ginger, all spice berries and lots of salt. I was really pleased with the result an awesomely moist roast turkey.
